It is recommended that young people aim to be active for at least one hour per day. You don't have to spend all your free time working out though - walking to school, college or work, riding your bike or playing football in the park all count too!
There are lots of reasons why we should all try and keep as active as possible. If you pick the right type of exercise for you it can be really enjoyable and is a good way to meet new people and make friends. Plus, many people find that exercising is a good stress-buster - perfect for when you need a break from coursework or revision.
As well as making you feel good, regular exercise can also help keep you looking fit and healthy.
